Rs 5 lakhs looted from businessmen in Saharsa

Saharsa, July 6 (UNI) Armed criminals today looted Rs 5 lakhs from 12 businessmen at Sonbarsa-Kachahari road under Simri-Bakhtiarpur police station area in the district.

District police superintendent Kunwar Singh said that six motorcycle borne criminals looted Rs 5 lakhs from about 12 businessmen when they were on way to purchase goods from Gulab bagh market in Purnea.

The criminals managed to escape from the spot after looting the cash. Raids were being carried out to nab the criminals and recover the looted cash from them, he added.
