Prisoners,policeman injured in attack by Naxal prisoners
Garwah, Jul 6 (UNI) At least 13 prisoners and a police constable were injured in a clash with some Naxals lodged in Garwah jail today.
Jail sources said agitated over the conflict between a general and a Naxal prisoner, about 40 Naxal jail-inmates attacked the other prisoners with bricks kept for construction on the jail premises.
The injured were rushed to sadar hospital. Sub-divisional officer Ravi Kumar had been camping in the jail where the situation was reported to be tense.
Sources said the administration was also considering to shift a few prisoners to another jail in view of the incident.
About 50 Naxal prisoners are lodged in the jail.
