Pratibha Patil to campaign in Kashmir tomorrow

Srinagar, July 6 (UNI) UPA-Left Presidential candidate Pratibha Patil will arrive here tomorrow on a day-long visit as part of her election campaigning for the top post, Congress sources said today.

They said Ms Patil would address a joint meeting of legislators and MPs at 1100 hrs here tomorrow.

The meeting would be attended by the legislators of the Congress, the Peoples Democratic Party, the CPI(M), the Peoples Democratic Forum and other alliance partners, the sources said.

However, it was not as yet clear if the legislators of the National Conference, the main opposition party in Jammu and Kashmir, would attend the meeting or not.

The party was yet to take a decision on its support to either Ms Patil or NDA-backed Independent candidate Bhairon Singh Shekhawat for the July 19 presidential election.
