One dead in truck-bus collision

Amritsar, July 6 (UNI) A man was killed and another injured seriously when a truck collided with a college bus today and rolled into a drain at the by-pass near Ranjit Avenue here, police said.

The deceased, identified as Balwinder Singh, who was travelling in the tanker died on the spot while the tanker driver was rushed to the local hospital in a serious condition.

The bus was carrying students of a local engineering college. All the students escaped unhurt except a girl who sustained minor injuries in the accident, police said.

Police have registered a case and was investigating into the reason of the accident.
