Muzaffarpur, July 6 (UNI) Amid widespread protests from the NDA leaders, the meeting of the Delimitation Commission was deferred without completion of its proceedings.

Official sources said as the Commission began its hearing by inviting objections from representatives of various political parties on its draft report recommeding reorganisation of several Assembly and Parliamentary seats in the state, representatives of political leaders, particulary that of the NDA, vented their anger vociferously.

Some of them even created unruly scenes making the situation unconducive to transact the business, sources added.

When the requests from chairman of the commission Kuldeep Singh and Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswami failed to yield any result, the meeting was deferred.

State JD(U) president Rajeev Ranjan Singh, and Sports Minister Janrdan Singh Sigriwal were among other leaders present in the meeting.
