Khandelwal inaugurates Dinbhar Channel website

Chandigarh, July 6 (UNI) Information has a significant role in today's age of Information Technology (IT) and getting maximum information at the earliest is the basis of strong democratic system.

This was stated by Additional Principal Secretary to Haryana Chief Minister and Director, Public Relations and Cultural Affairs K K Khandelwal while addressing a gathering after inaugurating the website of Dinbhar Channel at Panchkula near here.

He said there was a time when there was lack of information and only Radio was the medium which used to pass the information to masses.

'' Now with the application of modern technology, every common man has information and he can send it anywhere. These days information is being provided to the public at a large scale and world has become linked through Internet.

While congratulating Dinbhar Channel employees and its management, Mr Khandelwal said that efforts made by this channel would work like coordinator to further enrich heritage of Harayanvi culture.

As no private channel was existing in the state and this channel would fill up this gap.

Chief Editor of Dinbhar Channel Vipin Garg said the services of this channel were being made available in 15 cities of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pardesh and Chandigarh.
