India's first-ever job directory launched
Chennai, July 6 (UNI) New India Foundation, a private organisation, today launched India's first educational and employment directory.
Foundation Director R Subharaj told reporters here today that the ''India Job Directory'' would be a data-based informative directory, having details about employment and education.
The directory had about 4,000 addresses, including online addresses and phone numbers of educational institutions and big corporate and IT companies.
It contained information of all prestigious educational institutions in the country and their website address, besides details about the UPSC, SSC and other competitive exams conducted by the Central and State Governments, the criteria for selection and how to approach it.
The directory also contained details about scholarships available at UG and PG levels, employment opportunities both at government and private organisations, detailed job information with addresses, phone numbers, e-mail IDs and website URLs.
The directory would be available in all district libraries for the benefit of poor rural students.
