HC refuses to stay Engg counselling
Chennai, July 6 (UNI) Counselling of the medical students of various colleges in the state will be conducted on July 9 without any change as the Madras High Court refused to stay the counselling of the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission.
The hearing of the petition submitted by Consortium of Self-financing Colleges challenging the single bench order to follow the government regulations continued today.
Hearing the petition of the Consortium, Chief Justice A P Shah asked the Consortium counsels what would be the outcome of the situation if the petitions were allowed. ''We dont want to create a situation wherein no one know what will be the outcome if the petitions were allowed'', Justice Shah observed.
To this the Consortium's counsel Rajeev Dhavan replied that the Consortium could come out with some workable solution.
The hearing will continue on Monday.
