Give importance to party workers, Rajnath tells ministers

Bhopal, July 6 (UNI) Stressing on the need for increasing coordination between the BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh Government and party workers, BJP President Rajnath Singh today said ministers must accord adequate importance to recommendation of party workers.

Mr Singh, while addressing state-level 'Vikas Sammelan, said workers were the main strength of the party, which came to power in the state with two-thirds majority three years back because of their efforts.

He said the return of the party in power during the next assembly elections in 2008 would depend upon the hardwork of these workers.

Pointing out that neglect of party workers was natural when the party was in power, he asked the ministers to provide adequate importance to recommendations given by party workers.

However, he said, party workers must remember that all of their recommendations, especially those related to transfers, would not be heeded.

The BJP President asked party workers to not develop their ego and work in the interest of the party.

He said a system must be developed by ministers to ensure that letters of party workers were replied.

Senior party leaders, including BJP General Secretary and state incharge Anant Kumar, state BJP President Narendra Singh Tomar, state BJP organisational general secretary Makhan Singh and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, were present.
