Federation of goshalas formed to take up cause of animals

Bangalore, July 6 (UNI) Karnataka Goshala Mahasangh has been formed to represent all Goshalas for the protection of animals in the state.

A release by the Karnataka State Goshalas Sammelan Samiti said here today that the newly formed Mahasang or Federation aimed to unite all concerned and stand with Goshalas as a guiding factor for the improvement, legal strength and animal welfare.

The Mahasangh, which will look after the requirements of all Goshals, would be inaugurated during a conference on July 10 in the city.

Animal Welfare Board of India would guide the Mahasangh on different schemes and grants available to Goshalas and would assist on spot application submission the release said.

Representatives of around 100 Goshalas from across the state would take part in the Sammelan which would be inaugurated by former Prime Minister H D Devegowda.
