Eros inks Bollywood movie distribution deal in the U.S

Mumbai, Jul 6 (UNI) Eros International, leading producers and distributors in the multi-billion dollar market for Bollywood films, today announced completion of a distribution deal with the U.S based TitleMatch Entertainment Group, a subsidiary of Protocall Technologies Incorporated.

The agreement will make a wide range of Eros new releases and catalog movies available through the TitleMatch DVD On-demand service, a company release today said.

Sales of Bollywood movies in the U.S. represent a 1.5 billion USD a year market that is expected to grow by 16 per cent annually over the next five years, bringing U.S. sales to over 3 billion USD.

The category does more business in the U.S. than films from any other country, according to the Internet Movie Database, an organization that tracks box office sales in several countries. Eros represents nearly 70 per cent of all Bollywood movie titles marketed around the world today, the release added.

''TitleMatch offers an intelligent way for us to quickly expand our market presence in the retail channel,'' said Ken Naz, CEO of Eros US operations. ''The TitleMatch service is unique in its ability to eliminate inventory manufacturing and shipping costs, which can be quite significant,'' he added.
