CSIO signs MoU with Chemo-Electronic Labs of Gujarat
Chandigarh, July 6 (UNI) Central Scientific Instruments Organisation Chandigarh (CSIO) today signed an MoU with Chemo-Electronic Laboratory for collaborative research and development (R&D) activities on well focused areas of mutual interest, especially in agri-instrumentation, sensors development for various Gases, Mechatronics and Robotics, HRD and Energy Instrumentation.
Chemo-Electronic Laboratory is a unit of United Phosphorus Ltd (UPL), Vapi, in Valsad district, which is the largest producer and exporter of agro-chemicals from the country.
In addition to R&D in chemicals and pesticides, the company has a strong hold in environmental protection systems and associated scientific instruments for detection of various toxic gases.
Both CEL-UPL and CSIO have common objectives and overlapping scope now for transfer of technology, new R&D programmes, particularly on new devices and systems an official statement said.
The scope of the MoU encompasses sharing of expertise, domain knowledge and available facilities in selected areas, cooperation in the development of instruments for monitoring various industrial gases, instrumentation for agro-based applications including Energy Monitoring and Management Devices and promoting interaction among the scientists and researchers, the statement said.
The MoU was signed on behalf of UPL by Mr Rajju Shroff, Chairman and Managing Director and Dr Pawan Kapur, Director, CSIO.
