BMC to get two mill lands owned by NTC

Mumbai, Jul 6 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will get two mills lands out of the seven owned by the National Textile Corporation (NTC).

BMC Commissioner Jairaj Phatak today told reporters that the BMC will get United 2 and United 3 mill lands, on which the corporation proposes to construct a textile museum and recreational centre.

He said another mill land, Hind Textiles also owned by the NTC, will be handed over to Maharashtra Housing and Development Authority (MHADA).

The BMC Commissioner, along with other civic officials had visited the mill lands in Central Mumbai to see how the lands could be utilised.
