BJYM members stage dharna against Pratibha

Bangalore, July 6 (UNI) Members of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today staged a dharna in front of the Mahathma Gandhi statue here protesting the candidature of Pratibha Patil for the July 19 presidential elections.

The members Raised slogans against the tainted background of the UPA-Left parties sponsored candidate.

They alleged that Pratibha Patil, who had misused government funds in running various educational and co-operative institutions was ineligible to contest for the country's highest post.

Banners were also put up at several vantage points in the city the members.
