Bangalore, July 6 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.
Monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka&North Interior Karnataka.
Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka, at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.
Bhagamandala recorded heavy rainfall of 8 cm.
Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Madikeri, Agumbe 6 each, Subramanya 5, Khanapur, Madapura, Somwarpet, Kalasa, Mudigere 4 each, Bantwal, Mani, Puttur, Karkala, Virajpet 3 each, Belthangadi, Dharmasthala, Sulya, Kota, Yellapura, Joida, Panambur, Mangalore AP, Udupi, Belgaum, Linganamakki, Sringeri, Jayapura, Kammardi, Sakleshpura, Ponampet 2 each, Mulki, Siddapura, Banavasi, Shirali, Mangalore, Nippani, Aurad, Talaguppa, Humchadakatte, Thirthahalli, Ballupet, Belgaum AP 1 each.
Forecast valid until Sunday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over Interior Karnataka.
Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at most places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada districts, at many places over Chikmagalur, Hassan, Kodagu, Shimoga districts; at a few places over Belgaum, Dharwad, Haveri districts and at isolated places over remaining districts of the State.
Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka during next 48 hours.
Fisheries warning: NIL.
Local forecast: Generally cloudy. A spell of light rain likely.
