Kerala: Award for Hindustani musician Maratte

Kozhikode, July 6: Renowed Hindustani Musician Charat Chandra Maratte has been chosen for P T Madhusoodana Kurup Memorial Cash Award.

Carrying a cash prize of Rs 5,001 and a plaque, the award would be presented to the ailing maestro at a function here on July 17, P T Madhusoodaran Kurup Memorial Samithi said in a release here.

Mr Maratte had also bagged the Pravasi Basheer Puraskaram recently.
