Aided colleges to be linked through EDUSAT

Chandigarh, July 6 (UNI) All the 94 Government Aided Colleges functioning in Haryana will be connected through EDUSAT network during the current academic session.

Haryana Education Minister Phool Chand Mullana said that equipments of EDUSAT network would be installed by spending an amount of Rs three lakh in each college out of which a subsidy of Rs one lakh would be provided by the state government.

The Minister said that all the government colleges of the state had already been connected through EDUSAT network and a separate studio of Higher Education had been set up at Panchkula.

He said the system would prove an asset in providing the quality education to the students and improve the teaching learning environment at the colleges.

He said that after connecting the Government Aided Colleges of the state through EDUSAT the interactive lectures for B A, B Sc and B Com students would be given. A common time table for all the colleges would be formulated and the difficult subject should be taught in easy manner, he added.

He said that the Haryana Government has launched one of the biggest initiatives in the country in the EDUSAT programme. It would broadcast education content to cover the entire gamut of education at school and college level.
