Newborn baby girl buried alive, grandparents, mother held

Mahaboobnagar, Andhra Pradesh, July 5 (UNI) Police today arrested the grandparents and the mother of a new-born baby girl for burying her alive in a field in Utkoor Village of the district.

According to police, Meharunnbee (21) delivered her fourth daughter on July 3.

Upset over the birth of another baby girl, the grandparents buried the newborn in a field early today allegedly with the consent of the mother.

A farmer who heard the infant crying took it to a government hospital. The child's father is working in Mumbai as a labourer.
