New Delhi, July 5 (UNI) Delhi High Court today allowed the Enforcement Directorate three months more time to complete the investigations into the irregularities in the Oil-For-Food programme involving former cabinet minister Natwar Singh, his son Jagat Singh and friend Andaleep Sehgal.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed an affidavit before Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed, stating they need three months time to complete all investigations and only after that they would withdraw the Look Out notice against Andaleep Sehgal and release his passport.

The Court had earlier asked ED officials to explain what was the relevance of issuing the Look Out notice as Andaleep has been joining the investigation as and when required by the ED. The Court also questioned the provisions under which the ED can issue Look Out notices, since it has no powers to arrest the persons found voilating the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
