Eastern Railway cancels five trains from Howrah

Kolkata, July 5 (UNI) Eastern Railway has cancelled five trains from Howrah tomorrow and short terminated a local train due to shortages of rakes, ER official announced tonight.

The cancelled trains are- 2019-Up Howrah-Ranchi Satabdi Express, 2342 Down and 2341 Up Asansol-Howrah-Agniveena Express and the 3012 Down and 3011 up Malda town-Howrah inter-city Express.

The 2340 down Caol Field Exprsss will be terminated at Burdawan and it will originate from there as the 2339 Up.

ER sources said the shortages of rakes caused due to water logging at its maintenace yard at Tikiapara where car sheds tracks flooded after four days of heavy rains.
