Lucknow, July 5(UNI) Uttar Pradesh government today said a CBI probe has been ordered in the Noida land allotment scam of 2005 and the Justice (retd) A N Gupta Commission investigating the scam has been disbanded.

'' In principle, UP government demanded for a CBI probe into the scam in which people from judiciary, bureaucracy and politicians benefited'', said state social welfare minister Indrajeet Saroj in the state assembly .

The minister said irregularities were detected in distribution of 1250 residential plots alloted on July 2, 2005 and later Justice A N Gupta commission was set up to investigate the lapses.

Mr Saroj said Noida Development Authority has been directed to approach the Supreme Court to vacate the stay on the CBI probe this month. SC had stayed the allotment of the land along with the the CBI probe ordered by the Allahabad High Court.
