BJP, BJYM observe dharna against reservation for Muslims
Tirupati, July 5 (UNI) Activists of Bharathiya Janata Party(BJP) and Bharatiya Jana Yuva Morcha (BYJM) here today observed dharna in protest of the Cabinet nod for four per cent quota for Muslims in Andhra Pradesh.
A large number of activists led by BJP leader S Srinivas and BJYM State President Bhanu Prakash Reddy raised slogans against the Congress Government's religious politics in providing reservations to the Muslims.
They also criticised the Government's decision, on the ground that it sought to divide Muslims along caste lines.
Traffic was jammed for about half an hour following the dharna, police added.
