AP Govt succumbed to 'imperialist' USA: Yechury
Hyderabad, July 5 (UNI) Hard on the heels of the United States signing a lease agreement with the Andhra Pradesh Government to open its fourth Consulate in the country here, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) today accused the Rajasekhara Reddy Government of succumbing to the ''imperialist'' US.
Talking to reporters here, CPI(M) Politburo member Sitaram Yechury found fault with the State Government for vacating a heritage structure for locating the American Consulate here.
It may be noted that the lease agreement for locating the US Consulate was signed on July three, 15 months after US President George Bush made the announcement during his visit to Hyderabad.
