AAPSU urges DCs to ensure strict monitoring of ILPs

Itanagar, Jul 05 (UNI) The All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) has welcomed the initiative and decision of Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner (DC) to check infiltration.

The AAPSU in its consultative meeting here yesterday urged the state government and the concerned DCs to review and revive the process of Inner-Line-Permits (ILP) and verify the persons before issuing ILPs.

Recently,the Papum Pare district administration had taken certain initiatives to combat the ongoing infiltration from Bangladesh.

The meeting also endorsed operation 'clean drive' to driving out the illegal Bangladeshi nationals from the state to be spearheaded by the apex student body.

AAPSU had appealed the people of all the sections to support the movement.

It also urged the political leaders, contractors and different associations, engaged with Bangladeshi nationals in any form of service, to release them within seven days.
