A Taluk Social Welfare Officer and a 'D' Group employee trapped
Bangalore, July 5 (UNI) A Taluk Social Welfare Officer and his subordinate official were trapped by Karnataka Lokayukta police in Maddur recently while allegedly accepting a bribe for showing official favour.
Lokayukta Police in a release here today, said that the Welfare Officer had sought Rs 2,000 from one Mr Shankar for sanctioning Rs 25,000 granted as incentive for intercaste marriage of his brother's son. The subordinate staff was caught while accepting the money on the direction from the Officer.
The arrested were produced before a local court in Mandya.
