Yeshwantrao Chavan University to provide vast opportunities

Mumbai, Jul 03 (UNI) The Open University can provide great opportunities to the students who are not able to continue with the traditional system of education, said Srinivasa Belsaray, regional director of Yeshwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, here today.

Speaking to reporters here, Belsaray said that the conventional system of education will open new avenues of progress for those who have passed the SSC and the HSC examination, leaving behind those who could not make it in great stress.

However, if the students who have failed these examinations, and have completed 16 years of age on July 1 this year, can also take advantage under the policy of 'education for all' of the UNO, which has been started in the State by Yeshwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University.

Those who have failed but are capable of reading and writing in English and Marathi can enroll for the three-month preparatory course and seek admission to the first year of BA or BCom in October 2007, and save a year and the students will get guidance from the university only on Sundays.
