survey report on illegal mining to be ready in two months
Bangalore, July 3 (UNI) Karnataka Forests Minister C Chennigappa today said that the illegal mining in most parts of the state had been stopped.
He told reporters here that a survery was being conducted on the illegal mining and the report would be ready in the next two months.
He said the state government had collected a fine of Rs 300 crore from Bellary alone this year.
To a question on further details on the continuing of illegal mining in some places he said he would give all the details about it only after receiving the survey report.
He denied media reports that he had flouted norms, including environmental, in setting up a Rs 22 crore high-tech International Orphanage Residential School in Nelamangala taluk of Bangalore Rural district.
