Sun pharma to raise Rs 35 bln through equity

New Delhi, July 3 (UNI) Drug maker Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd today said it plans to raise up to Rs 35 billion by issuing shares and/or debt in domestic and/or international markets.

The funds could be raised in more than one tranche, the company said in a statement.

It would seek shareholders' approval before taking the decision, the statement added.

Sun pharma is one of the country's most valuable drug maker with a market capitalisation of five billion dollars.
