Suman Mahto expresses dissatisfaction over CBI probe

Jamshedpur, July 3 (UNI) Ms Suman Mahto, JMM national general secretary and widow of assassinated JMM MP Sunil Mahto, today expressed unhappiness over CBI probe of her husband's killing in March this year.

Talking to the media persons here, the newly appointed general secretary of JMM said the CBI decision to provide bail to two arrested ultras was 'unfortunate'.

''I am hurt and disappointed with the decision,'' she said.

Despite her dissatisfaction, Ms Mahto reposed faith in the investigating agency and hoped that CBI would expose the conspiracy behind her husband's killing and the culprits would be booked.

Mr Mahto was gunned down by suspected naxalites at Baghuria village of East Sinnghbhum district on March 4. Eight persons, including two naxalites, were arrested by the district police soon after the incident. Later CBI took over the case.

Ms Mahto, who is tipped to get thw ticket for the Jamshespur Lok Sabha by-poll, slated to be held soon, said she was determined to complete the unfinished development work of her slain husband.

Expressing conern over the escalation of naxalite movemnent in Jharkhand, Ms Mahto said the government should initiate talks with the ultras to bring them back to the mainstream of the society.
