Spain Consul General wants direct flight betwen India

Mumbai, July 3 (UNI) Spain's Consul General Ceasar Alba Y Fuster has stressed on the necessity of having a direct flight connecting Madrid with India.

''The flight service did exist 15 years ago but was withdrawn and it should be restarted by the airlines of both the countries,'' said Mr Fuster while speaking at a function, organised by the Trans Asian Chamber of Commerce and Industries, on promoting tourism here yesterday.

''Spain receives 60 million tourists out of which, only 40,000 are from India and considering the growing economy of country like India this tourist inflow should be more,'' he pointed out.

Spain has many things to offer to tourists including history, culture, cuisine and bull-fighting, he added.
