Rupee opens further stronger at 40.56/57 against USD

Mumbai, July 3 (UNI) Indian rupee today opened further stronger at 40.56/57 per US dollar, gaining nearly 9 paise, as compared to the previous close of 40.65/66.

During the forenoon session, the local unit touched an intra-day low of 40.55/56 and is currently trading around 57/58, said dealers.
