Rs 1.2 cr gold pooja articles donated

Tirumala, July 3 (UNI) A Chandigarh-based businessman donated gold pooja articles worth Rs 1.2 crore to the Lord Venkateswara temple here today.

According to TTD sources, Lakshmi Energy and Foods Limited Chairman and Managing Director Balabir Singh today handed over six pooja articles -- Sankanidhi, Padmanidi, Ekaharati, Doopharati, Nakshtraharati and Conch -- weighing about 15 kg, to the temple Joint Excutive Officer G Balaramaiah.

The 'gifts' would be used during the next Brahmotsavams, sources added.
