Mumbai, July 3 (UNI) Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and Tata groups have shown interests to raise funds through Japanese Depository Receipts (JDR) for Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), Akira Amari, Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry said here today.

Addressing a press conference, Mr Amari said, ''I came back with a positive impression with these two Indian companies RIL and Tata want to raise funds through JDR'' He stressed that there are number of choices for raising funds for the various infrastructure development in India including budgetry allocations by state and the Union government and investment by the private companies from Japan and India. Along with these, JDR will be one of the vialble means to raise funds for the infrastructure development in DMIC.

However, Mr Amari visualised some friction between the central and state governments in India to come in the way of timely implementation of the project, due to the lack of communication.

''We hope regional government will develop a healthy communication with Union government,'' Mr Aamri asserted.

But at the same time, he said Japan is commited to India's growth and development, adding India has the potential to become an export hub to West.
