Manipur: Portfolios of ministers announced

Imphal, Jul 03: The newly inducted six Cabinet ministers of the O Ibobi Singh government here today started their official duties.

Ibobi had last night announced the portfolios of the new ministers and effected some changes for five other Cabinet ministers.

The Secular Progressive Front government has 12 ministers, including the CM, eleven of the Congress and one of the CPI, a constituent of the SPF government.

The Chief Minister Ibobi retained Finance and Home. Th Debendra had been given the portfolios of Revenue, Forest and Environment and Law and Legislative Affairs.

The FCS, Commerce and Industries were given to Y Erabot. K Ranjit was given. Education Department was given to L Jayentakumar.

Phungzathang Tonsing was allotted power horticulture, Ph Parijat of the CPI was given health and family welfare.

N Loken was given Social Welfare. TN Haokip would have Information and Public Relations in addition to Tourism.

N Biren was alloted Youth Affairs and Sports and IFCD . DD Thaisii was given Tribal Development.

Md Allauddin Khan was given Rural Development and Panchayati Raj .
