PIL before SC against Pratibha was backed by Congress: BJP

New Delhi, Jul 3 (UNI) Reacting to the Supreme Court dismissing the case against UPA-Left Presidential nominee Pratibha Patil, the BJP today said the petition was backed by the Congress whose intention was to obtain some sort of approval from the apex court.

BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar said the party was not surprised about the case because the Congress was 'behind' the PIL filed before the Court and presented the case in a manner to get the relief it wanted. "They have got what they wanted," he said.

NDA spokesperson Sushma Swaraj, however refused to react to the issue, saying the NDA was ''nowhere in the picture even as a repondent and we have nothing to say''.
