One killed and 11 injured in Amarnath shooting of stones

Srinagar, July 3 (UNI) One pilgrim died and eleven others were injured in shooting of stones near Amarnath cave shrine late last night.

According to the police press release, the deceased woman pilgrim has been identified as Nebedita Devri Bhorai, wife of Ajay Dwevedi Bhorai, resident of Guwhati, Assam.

The injured are Malika Verma Deka R/o Guwhati Assam, Rajkumar S/O Shri Vinod R/O Gorakhpur, Anil Kumar R/O Haryana, Vinod Kumar S/O Krishan Kumar R/O Sonipat Haryana, Danoj Varma S/O Rajesh Kumar R/O Punjab and Dilbagh Singh of Haryana.

The injured locals are Mohammed Yousuf Ganie S/O Ghulam Qadir, R/O Ashmuqam Anantnag, Shamim Ahmed S/O Ghulam Qadir, R/O Ashmuqam Anantnag, Bashir Ahmed, R/O Ashmuqam Anantnag and Bilal Ahmed of Pahalgam Anantnag.

All the injured were admitted to different hospital where the condition of Malika Verma and Raj Kumar is stated to be critical.
