Nokia Siemens to invest USD 100 million in India

Chennai, Jul 3: Nokia Siemens Networks has announced plans to invest US Dollar 100 million in India over the next three years as part of its commitment to develop a strong telecommunications environment in the countrty.

This investment, includes setting up of proposed telecommunication equipment manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu for wireless network equipment, new offices across various cities, development of the existing R&D centre, and expanding the Global Networks Solution Centre, Simon Beresford-Wylie, CEO, Nokia Siemens Networks, said in a release here today.

The proposed facility aimed at addressing the strong market demand in India and manufacture of high-end equipment, the release added.
