Nepali couple buried in landslide

Dehradun, July 3 (UNI) A Nepali couple was buried alive following a landslide in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand today.

According to the police sources, the accident occurred at around 0430 hrs when a landslide triggered by heavy rain buried the tin hut where Nepali labour Ram Bahadur (38) was staying with his wife Sangeeta (28) at Danari Garh under Dunda Tehsil. Both of them were working for Hydel Construction Company as labours.

Police extricated the bodies with the help of local people and sent for autopsy.
