Minor raped and killed

Lucknow, July 3 (UNI) A minor was criminally assaulted and murdered at Kakori town of the state capital today.

According to police, the minor (11) of Hata Rahem Washid area had gone to mango orchard to collect mangoes, where she was molested by Anil Kashyup and later killed.

Irked over the incident, villagers created ruckus and ransacked house of the culprit.

Anil had been arrested and sent to jail.

Additional force had been deployed at the area to avoid any untoward incident.
