Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, July 3 (UNI) Police arrested a suspected terrorist ofPakistan-based Lashkar-e-toiba (LeT) who ws planning to expand terror operations in South India Azad Ahmed Khurashi (20) of Jammu and Kashmir was arrested at Madanapalli in this district last night after a raid on a house at Kurava Vanka where he had been staying since June 25, police said.

The terroist was also allegedly involved in attacks on Parliament, Red Fort besides some incidents at Srinagar.

Three mobiles, Rs 80,000 and a fake identity card were seized from his possession.

He was produced before the local court at Madanapallli which remanded him to 15 days custody.

During preliminary interrogation, Khurashi reportedly revealed plans to expand terror operations in South India.

Khurashi returned to his native place in Srinagar after his leather jacket manufacturing unit at Chandhini Chowk in New Delhi suffered losses. He devolped links with a militant and took training in ''weapons handling'' at Pakistan in 2001.

On his return to Delhi,he was arrested in connection for planning a blast at Rajiv Ranjit Park and sent to Tihar Jail where he was imprisoned from 2001 to 2006.

After his release in April last year, he fell in love with Zerena, belonging to Madanapalli, at a redlight area in Delhi.

He again went to Pakistan for training. On his return to New Delhi, he found his lover missing. His search led him to Madanapalle.
