Law and order condition deteroriating in MP:Raghu
Bhopal, July 3 (UNI) Expressing concern over deteriorating law and order situation in Madhya Pradesh, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party National President Raghu Thakur today said 'Mukhyamantri Vaada Nibhao Panchayat' would be organised in September to expose false promises made by the government.
Mr Thakur told a press conference here today that most towns in the state were unsafe. Incidents of loot and dacoity had become usual in the state capital and other towns.
Alleging that police remained busy in intelligence gathering for ministers, VIPs or other ruling party's leaders, he said police had no time for common man.
He demanded that another cell of Police be constituted for security of VVIPs, who should bear the expenses for this cell.
Mr Thakur said Kotwars had met disappointment with the announcements made by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at 'Kotwar Panchayat' held recently at his residence saying the promise for slight increase in salary was merely an assurance.
He demanded that the Kotwars be paid through banks so that Kotwars, who didn't receive salaries up to six months, receive their salaries in time.
Mr Thakur demanded that due salaries of public health officials be cleared.
Criticising lathicharge on Gurujis (contract teachers), he said their association must make it clear that what punishment was given to those who lathicharged them or it would appear their protest was government-sponsored.
He demanded rehabilitation package for Narmada dam displaced as per the High Court's order.
