High Voltage Distribution System in Haryana village

Chandigarh, July 3 (UNI) The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has spent a sum of Rs 50 lakh for laying High Voltage Distribution System (HVDS) in Duloth Ahir village of Mahendragarh district in order to check the theft of power.

A Nigam spokesman said Duloth Ahir had become the second HVDS village of Mahendragarh district. Seka village was the first HVDS village of the district which was also the first such village in the state as well.

He said the DHBVN authorities had started the work of laying of HVDS in over 40 villages of Mahendragarh district on the demand of villagers as the system ensures minimum interruptions in power supply and in case of fault in any transformer, a small number of consumers got affected.

He said that Duloth Ahir had been provided with HVDS by installing 12 distribution transformers of 25 KVA capacity as per the requirement of load of the village. These transformers have been connected to 11KV feeder emanating from 220 KV substation, Mahendragarh.
