Kolkata, Jul 03 (UNI) HCL Infosystems Limited, India's premier information enabling company, has announced the launch of 'Datacentre in a Box', a first-of-its-kind integrated solution to meet the IT infrastructure requirements of small and medium enterprises.

A company release here today said the Data centre would offer a simplified one-point solution to all the IT infrastructure needs of any emerging business.

The solution comes with hi-tech modules along with network components and remote management systems in a single rack with space and power-saving design that are highly cost-effective for the emerging enterprises.

Most Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) require IT solutions to simplify the complexity, are affordable and scalable with good back-up support.

HCL Infosystems Limited Executive Vice President George Paul said, ''The launch of such datacenter is in sync with our legacy of introducing innovative solutions that allow modern Indian enterprises leverage information technology to boost their growth.'' HCL had also planned to organise a pan India road show of the solutions focusing on the SMB clusters.

The Indian SMB market is estimated at approximately 7.5 million businesses, of which only 21 per cent are known to make use of PCs.

According to an AMI survey, at present only 40 per cent of networked SMBs have deployed servers, while close to one-third of such small business organisations are planning to deploy a server in the next 12 months.
