HC grants 3 weeks' time to Kochi Corp. to settle garbage row

Kochi, Jul 3 (UNI) The Kerala high court today granted three weeks time to the Cochin Corporation to settle the issue of disposal of garbage in the city.

A division bench consisting of Chief Justice H L Dattu and Justice K T Sankaran granted time while hearing a contempt petition filed by Dijo Kappan against the ''callous attitude'' of the corporation.

The bench today asked for suggestions of the cousel appearing for various parties in the case and after hearing the standing cousel of the Corporation, granted three weeks time to settle the matter.
