Eros International to release 'Gandhi My Father'

Mumbai, July 3 (UNI) London-listed, leading media and entertainment company Eros International will release 'Gandhi My Father', a film on the untold story of Mahatma Gandhi with his eldest son Harilal.

Releasing on August 3, 'Gandhi My Father' is an account of the sufferings of the patriarchial relationship between Gandhiji and his misfortunate son. The film throws light on the lesser known facts on the personal life of a man who transformed the soul of a nation, but could not help his son.

Based on the thought provoking play 'Mahatma vs Gandhi' the thespian of Indian theatre, Feroz Khan has combined his talents as a writer and director with the production skills of versatile Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor to create the most touching films of our times, a release here yesterday said.

Anil Kapoor forays into independent production with his banner Anil Kapoor Films Company, joining hands with Eros International.

'Gandhi My Father' is released and distributed worlwide by Eros International.
