Congress's presidential poll observer meets MLAs
Lucknow, July 3 (UNI) Congress' observer for Presidential elections Avinash Pandey today met party MLAs here to discuss the strategy for the upcoming elections.
Mr Pandey, who is active in the AICC heirarchy, reached here last evening to interact with Congress MLAs.
''The observer met Congress MLAs this morning and discussed various issues pertaining to the elections,'' said a UPCC vice-president.
With only 22 MLAs in the present Assembly, congress has very little vote value in the Presidential elections from Uttar Pradesh.
The ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), with 206 MLAs, has already extended support to UPA nominee Pratibha Patil.
