New Delhi, July 3 (UNI) BJP MLA Karan Singh Tanwar today sought Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's intervention in saving an almost 100-year-old Gurdwara and 150 shanties from demolition in his constituency in South West Delhi by the Indian Air force.

''The Air Force wants to construct station headquarters on the site and Gurdwara authorities have been sent notices to vacate the plot in Delhi cantonment area... The Air force is trying to play with the sentiments of Sikhs,'' he said.

He claimed that the Air Force officers had ''thrown out'' the belongings of some Granthis and Sewadars from the Gurdwara complex.

The BJP MLA claimed that an atmosphere of terror and insecurity was prevailing in the area due to the ''autocratic attitude'' of the Air Force officers.

He demanded that action be taken against the officers for ''hatching a conspiracy to ''spoil law and order'' in the area.
