Arunachalam bags Brahm Prakash Memorial Medal 2007

Bangalore, July 3 (UNI) One of India's distinguished technologists and Chairman of the Centre for Study of Science Technology and Policy (CSTEP) Dr V S Arunachalam, a Bangalore-based think tank, has been awarded the prestigious Brahm Prakash Memorial Medal for 2007 by the Indian National Science Academy (INSA).

The award was instituted to commemorate the memory of late Dr Brahm Prakash, a pioneer in the development of Indian Atomic Energy and Space programmes, and is awarded once in three years to a scientist or an engineer for outstanding contributions in the field of engineering and technology.

The award would carry a medal and an honorarium of Rs 10,000, according to an INSA release here.
