Leaders of political parties meet committee on JIPMER issue

Puducherry, July 2 (UNI) Leaders of different political parties in the Union Territory today called on the members of the parliamentary standing committee on JIPMER.

The committee members headed by Digvijay Singh visited the institute to elicit views of various sections on granting autonomous status to JIPMER.

Leaders of DMK, Congress, PMK, CPI, BJP and NCP, were among those, who expressed their views to the committee.

The committee would hear the views of faculty members and the students tomorrow.
