Delhi Cabinet condoles death of former CM Saheb Singh Verma

New Delhi, July 2 (UNI) The Delhi Cabinet today passed a resolution condoling the sudden and tragic demise of former state Chief Minister and former Union Minister Saheb Singh Verma.

The resolution was passed in a Cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit at her residence.

In the resolution, the Cabinet described Verma a much-loved son of Delhi and a dedicated leader who had the lot of the common man uppermost in his actions and deeds.

It also conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

The Cabinet also observed a minute's silence as a mark of respect to the departed leader.
